THE VILLAGES AT HOPE

The Hope Assisted Living & Memory Care center has four separate wings which permit residents at similar levels of memory loss and loss of cognitive abilities to be grouped together in the same wing.  Each wing or section of the Hope Center is referred to as a “Village”.  Each Village is a pleasant place to live.  The Villages are referred to as follows:

The Village at Sunny Surf
The Village at Safe Harbor
The Village at Whispering Pine
The Village at Wandering Brook

The design and layout of each Village is the same except for the Village at Wandering Brook.  Each Village has a separate dining room and activities area. The Village at Wandering Brook is designed to provide residents who need extra exercise or feel the compulsion to walk and move excessively with a pleasant indoor all weather twenty-four hour per day walking path.  The agitation and compulsion to move and walk felt by many residents cannot be accommodated outdoors at night or in inclement weather.  The hallway in this Village is extra wide which allows the residents to easily walk around the central area which is appointed with seating and “hands on” activity stations without disturbing other residents.

The grouping of residents based on their level of memory loss and cognitive ability allows specialized care and activities which are appropriate for each resident.   It is not possible to provide activities which will benefit all residents if residents at all levels of memory loss are grouped together in a single wing of an assisted living facility.
